Time.
3:49 PMTODAY IS THE DAY. Today is the day when I go outside and realize that it's too cold to go barefoot, when I realize that summer is over, and when I realize that snow....
| ....is on its way. |
"When did this happen? Where was I when the leaves fell off my favorite tree? Was it really two years ago that I was in my very first musical? Where is time going?" As I am trying to think about how this could happen, how I already have a brother married, how it won't be long before I am the second oldest in the house, the realization of many things come to mind. People grow up. People get married. People go away. I realize how important it is to make good memories and to have people to make memories with. I am so thankful to have friends, family, and most importantly, God.
I know it's a little early, but for Thanksgiving my "what are you thankful for" is this: My amazing friends with whom I have shared so many wonderful memories with. My family, and my relationship with God. Without the latter, my life wouldn't be worth living because He is what living is all about.

Love the post! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
DeleteI know...siblings (and people in general) leaving and growing up didn't really seem like something that would ever really happen or be a big deal to me. But then Bethany and Christian left and suddenly I was the second oldest sibling in my family...which is kind of scary and makes me feel old!! So yeah...living life right now just normally with my siblings still at home has kind of gotten a lot more important to me now - now that time and growing up is really a reality.
ReplyDeleteAnyway. Sorry if that didn't really make any sense! But don't worry - this wasn't a weird post, like you said it was. ;)
(oh. and I still go barefoot outside. ;))
Same here. I didn't think my brothers would ever move away, get married, and the such. It just happened so fast. It just hit me. :/
DeleteAnd yeah, you already know what it feels like, you are already the second oldest in the house. I'm glad I have somebody who shares the same feelings. :)
Yes, I do too. Sometimes. Just wait until the snow comes..... ;)
I. Am. Literally. Crying.
ReplyDeleteAww....... don't cry. :)
