I've always wanted a pet hedgehog...well, at least since I was 10 and had to did a report on it for school. But...I didn't realize they cost $200. That's kind of a problem. So, I suppose my thinking was a hamster is the closest thing to a hedgehog that I could have...interesting, right?

I'm sure I read at least 20 books on hamster care that were all pretty much the same. Besides requiring that I get a huge $100 cage and 25 accessories, they all definitely made it seem like any noise next to the cage would stress out my hamster and it would die.

But anyways. I went to the pet store still deciding I wanted one, despite those intimidating books.

Long story short (seriously, I think I took at least 30 minutes to decide which one I wanted), I picked out a male panda bear hamster and named him Gus-Gus as soon as I got in the car.

He's a charmer. He'll walk up to anyone who approaches his cage and just stare with his super cute eyes. <3

Unfortunately, while I'm pretty sure he's used to his new home now, he still doesn't love to be picked up and won't let me actually hold him yet. Oh well, maybe that will come later.....

P.S. He tried out his hamster ball for the first time last night. He either loved it, or was freaked out by it and was trying to run away....but he got his exercise, I guess.

    -shoveled snow.

    -shoveled another foot of snow.

-and......subbed for a peep on board four in a chess tourney

Is my life exciting or what? ;P Sorry. I don't have anything super interesting or exciting to say. that's just the way things are.

I am kicking my parents out of the house for a week. Kicking them to Texas, that is.
    *sighs*
Okayyyy, I guess they're leaving me home and taking a vaca to Texas. They're leaving ME home, with two of my brothers. Talk about freedom abandonment. I don't even think that's a word. But anyway. My parents are actually making my brother and sister-in-law come babysit me inviting my bro and sis-in-law over to stay and do awesome stuff with my brothers and me. It is going to be ssss-wweeeet. Aidan and Bethany rock. XD ;)

So if I feel like not being lazy like always, I will post about it (sometime ;P).

Haha, look what I found. *facepalm* it is nearly, no wait, COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE to take a selfie with Sarah that actually looks like we tried to be normal for once. Well. I won't go there.

Sarah was over. We were bored. I wanted to go on a walk. It was raining.

Me: We should go on a walk.*cheesy grin*
    Sarah: It's raining...??
Me: Uhhh, it'll stop soon - then we can go. *another cheesy grin*
    Sarah: Okayyyy....

    Later....

Me: Oooo!!! It stopped raining! Well, mostly. Heh.
    Sarah: It's sprinkling.
    Me: let's go.
    *grabs camera* (*grabs Sarah too*)

Yes, we are stupid crazy enough to go on walks in the rain. And yes, we are weird enough to take pictures in the middle of the road and trespass on somebody's (probably private) property/field to take pictures with a Narnian lamp. XD What can I say. YOLO.
    We got SOAKED.

That picture of Sarah (above^^mine) could seriously make it on the cover of a magazine, am I right?? :D

This picture turned out kinda weird. lol

Don't ask me how she captured me in that awkward stance, but that pic is weird. lol

Andd....we had a fantastical time. We were going to take awesome pictures with some deer that were fenced in at this little park place, buuuuut....the ipod used to take the pictures died. :( It was terrible. We were freezing. Needless to say, I think it was fun enough that if we find the time to, we will do it again. ;) ;)

    Until next time,

    Cheerio.
