random life // what I did home alone (AGAIN)
2:34 PMI haven't posted in more than half a year...and this is an attempt to show you what I have been doing for the past few months. But, this won't be an awesome update, because I really haven't been doing anything.
Oh, yes, of course. I had to put in a really boring picture of my school.
This is my Latin test book. Which is supposed to represent that I started high school. (by the way, if you're not learning Latin right now, you totally should. Funnest language ever.)
I'm still really bad at math.
And I don't really appreciate being assigned an essay every other week.
But high school isn't really that hard, people.
Oh! And isn't it ironic that I'm really bad at algebra and still teach my little sister her math? Just passin' my skills right along!!
Of course, like the smartie she is, she had to skip Saxon 1 and go on to second grade math.
(I know. Super blurry picture.)
Since my mom carts around my older sister to volleyball pretty much every day, as the oldest girl left in the house, I've been dragged into making supper quite a few times. It always tastes fine, but I always have to text my mom and ask her if I should make all the taco shells or if I should dump the whole can of beans into chili. Of course, after I've already done it...
This is a really random, dorky picture of some "tortillas" I made for my little siblings' school - the only part of a supper I made that I have a picture of. They tasted like flour. Daniel helped shape the dough into "circles" for me to fry (or whatever you do to them), so most of them turned out looking like Rosetta Stones, but whatever.
I also felt really cool and grown-up today, because I got to use a house key (!!). And why is it so hard to put the key into the lock?? They need to make these things Sarah-friendly.
And of course, since I had to unlock the door.....you know what that means! I stayed home alone again and you get to hear all about it (again).
Meet my iPod. It does not have a name. It is about two inches long and doesn't do anything except play music. It's pretty much an antique - it's like eight years old. But...it still works! And it's my faithful companion that fills the silence in an empty house. (seriously....silence is like one of the creepiest things in the world.)
I found this super cool complicated thing that plugs into like three different things to hook the iPod up to the radio. And since you can only listen to my iPod with earbuds, this is pretty cool. Being home alone, I could turn up the volume all the way without be annoying to anyone and hear it all the way around the house so it's not scary.
I look really dumb in this picture because I'm singing along to my music. That's why.
I decided to make Buckeyes which is pretty much peanut butter balls that you put in the refrigerator. And no, I do not like baking. But it only has four ingredients and I really, really, really wanted to make a dessert.
I know. It looks like peanut butter rolled up into a ball. because that's what it is.
So. My life is pretty normal and boring, but random cool stuff makes it fun. :)

Your life is totally interesting and you crack me up. AND you make me realize how old you are...teaching Caroline's math, doing highschool and all that jazz. You can go back to my ancient blog and re-read all my stupid highschool posts so you'll feel smart. :D Seriously, though. I'm dying of laughter as my pizza crust rises into oblivion. Poor mom has zero daughters who can cook a decent meal. Although in my defense, it is more of a circle shape than a Rosetta Stone. But I probably can't boast on the taste.
ReplyDeleteCute pictures.
You're cute.
And funny.
And I miss you.
And come make supper for me when you're bored. I have an extra house key, too. :)
I agree with Bethany. Your life IS interesting, and it makes me smile. :) That pic with the tortillas is priceless. It's hilarious. And it is so much fun when you are alone, you get to blast music and do practically anything you want. It's awesome.
ReplyDeleteI want to eat the pb balls and I love this post.

ReplyDeleteYour life IS NOT boring! Okay? :)
I have the same curriculum of Latin! Except mine is First Form Latin. No wonder you know more of it than I do. ;) And yes, it is the funnest language ever.
Btw, how tall are you? In the second last photo you look really tall.

Ps: the peanut butter balls look delicious! :)
That's awesome. We're totally going to have conversations in Latin once we finish, okay?
